Every Root & Cap piece is screen-printed by hand in Detroit. We want you to be satisfied with your order. If something is not right, here is how returns and refunds work.
You may return eligible items within 30 days of the delivery date. After 30 days we are unable to accept a return or issue a refund.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with all tags still attached. Items that show signs of wear, washing, smoke, or odor cannot be accepted and will be returned to you.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. The one exception is if the item arrived defective or you received the wrong item — in that case we will cover return shipping and make it right at no cost to you.
Once we receive and inspect your return, your refund is issued back to your original payment method through Square. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement after it has been processed, depending on your bank or card issuer. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return was due to our error.
If you need a different size, email us and we will help arrange an exchange, subject to availability. Because many pieces are limited runs, the size you want may not be in stock — if it is unavailable we will offer a refund instead.
To begin a return or exchange, email adam@rootandcapweld.com with your order number and a brief note on the reason. We will reply with return instructions and the return address. Please do not ship anything back before contacting us.
Certain limited drops and clearance items may be marked as final sale at the time of purchase. Final-sale items cannot be returned or exchanged except where the item is defective. Any final-sale designation will be clearly noted on the product page.
